Canshale Corp. is a private Canadian energy company incorporated in 2010 under the Canada Business Corporations Act (“Canshale” or the “Company”). The Company was created to acquire, delineate and exploit an oil shale deposit in Saskatchewan (Top Ranked Global Mining Investment Jurisdiction, 2017 Mining Journal World Risk Report), originally discovered by Sun Oil in the 1960’s. Canshale was the first to determine the technical and economic viability of this resource and in doing so has gained the commensurate advantages of an unsurpassed land position and 12 billion BOE of exploitable oil (NI 51-101/NI 43-101, Best Estimate). The Company’s proven management team has evaluated the resource thoroughly and engineered a development plan with third party partners – the Golden Plain Project (the “GPP”). Designed to produce high margin, ultra-low sulphur diesel fuel, the GPP analysis offers an 18% free cash flow yield (after royalties and production taxes), without decline, break-even costs of $31 WTI and a Reserve Life Index measured in hundreds of years. Canshale seeks to finance its next step in bringing the Golden Plain lands to development.
